Why won't you update GDP data

[edit]

I perhaps forgot how many it have been since release of revised GDP data for Pakistan by Pakistan Bearu of Statistic. It's still on 1.5 years or more old data you are using. I even got banned for vandalism when I myself tried to do it? Why won't you update it? Source: PBS It seems Wikipedia authors have Personal issues with Pakistan. It won't even allow me to add Pakistan economic survey 223.123.41.90 (talk) 01:38, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your comment, this page is locked for most users so you are unable to edit it, I don’t think you are banned. You can ask to Change X to Y, for example you can say: change this number to this number with this source. I can add it for you, I am a Pakistani and would like to help. Questionable source for the country motto

[edit]

The current source for the Pakistan motto "Faith, Unity, Discipline" is a single line in page 97 of a Grade 5-9 Book to teach people about Pakistan, with no type of verification for the translation, this loose source could potentially be wrong, and we need an actual basis of the motto with actual verification for the translation. Population

[edit]

The population figures for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan should also be included in the total estimate in the lead. 2401:BA80:AA16:21A1:560D:F1C5:E89D:5FB2 (talk) 10:44, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Adiiitya How is the language structure deteriorated? I will revert to my version in absence of adequate reasoning Axedd (talk) 10:01, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Here comes the paragraph after your edit:
is ranked amongst the emerging and growth-leading economies.
-is what? You removed the subject from the sentence.
+You deleted the statement that it is designated as a major Non-Nato ally by the US. ĀDITYA 10:07, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is outdated info, Pakistan is no longer an ally as the issue with the Soviets is over. Can you add sources about it being an ally in 2024? Axedd (talk) 10:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The main wikipedia page for Major Non-Nato allies includes Pakistan. There isn't any source stating that Pakistan is an MNNA in 2025, but there aren't any sources either which state that Pakistan is no longer an MNNA. The list of Former MNNAs only included the former Afghanistan government which has been taken over by the Taliban regime. I think in order to change it on "Pakistan", you would have to first change it at "Major non-NATO allies" ĀDITYA 11:06, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It states on that page until year 2004 under George bush. Not in 2024-25 at all. I will therefore remove it on this page as it is outdated stated as if it is a current ally Axedd (talk) 11:55, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Seems good to me. Go ahead. ĀDITYA 12:18, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A source presenting an opposing perspective is required to justify its removal. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 16:09, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have the source that it is a US ally under trump/biden? The responsibility of providing source is on the person wanting it's inclusion per WP:ONUS Axedd (talk) 06:52, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Source from today—why would they consider revoking the status if Pakistan is still not an ally? Why are you jumping the gun while US lawmakers are adhering to the proper process? We should also respect the process. Even if the status is revoked, it can still be stated that Pakistan was considered a major non-NATO ally until 2025. You seem to have misunderstood WP:ONUS; in this case, the onus was on you because we already had a source confirming Pakistan gained the status. It was your responsibility to provide a source showing it had lost that status. Regardless, no problem—you have the source now. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 10:58, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
